“Together” mixed ceramics exhibition, featuring the artifacts of the academic staff of Faculty of Fine Arts-Department of Ceramic and Glass and Avanos Vocational School-Departments of Handicrafts were opened in the Füreya Koral Hall in Ankara Contemporary Arts Center between 19-24 February 2020.
The exhibition, which was attended by 240 academics from 53 universities and vocational schools throughout Turkey, was an art gathering where the institutions serving in this area came together.
The artifacts created by academic staff were put up for sale with a symbolic fee. The proceeds from the sale were evaluated as “food scholarships” for 76 ceramic and glass students who are in “urgent need” in the relevant departments of educational institutions throughout Turkey. In addition, starting from March, six students from the Department of Ceramics and Glass at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University started to receive a food scholarship for the spring semester of 2019-2020.
Bahadır Cem Erdem, Özlem Sağlıyan Sönmez, H. Aybike Karakurt, Betül Aytepe Serinsu, Necmiye Demircioğlu, Ferit Cihat Sertkaya participated in this meaningful exhibition held within the scope of social responsibility awareness and they represented our university.
